Hangman

With a simple and free word game available from the app library, the Hangman app enables teachers to create simple and fun word quizzes in which the player tries to guess the letters of a word. With this tool, designed to reduce creation time to an absolute minimum and help students build their vocabulary and reading comprehension, teachers simply fill in the form with words and clues and the app generates a fun activity with a simple click of the mouse. The teacher can add several words and choose between two distinct designs, in which familiar characters from our 'Animal misfits' intermediate skin play the role of the eponymous but, of course, figurative hanged man.

The game is based on the traditional pen-and-pencil game in which one player thinks of a word, phrase, or sentence and the other tries to work it out by suggesting letters. For each letter chosen that does not occur in the word, the puzzle-setting player draws one element of the hanged-man stick figure as a tally mark. When the stickman is complete, the guesser loses.

In the itslearning app, if the suggested letter does not occur in the word, a monkey loses one of his 11 bananas or an elephant loses one of his 11 body parts. The game is over when the guessing participant completes the whole word correctly or the monkey has lost all the bananas or the elephant has disappeared.
